Willow Joffee —Senior Admissions Associate

Willow Joffee partners with NYC families to support them through both the public and private high school admissions process. Her straightforward and warm approach demystifies the admissions process, allowing families to feel informed and empowered in their decision making. With a keen ability to listen deeply, communicate effectively and strategize to meet individual needs,  Willow sees “goodness of fit” as the anchor of her high school placement work with families.

Willow developed a comprehensive and engaging high school placement process from the ground up for an urban, public charter school. Her distinguished program fosters the collaboration of families, students, and teachers and has established strong connections in both public and private high schools. She has worked with hundreds of students on the high school application process and can assist students with portfolio preparation, audition expectations and etiquette, interviewing skills and essay writing.

Prior to her work with NYC Admissions Solutions, Willow managed a mentorship program for young creatives at Urban Arts Partnership, counseled incarcerated young women at Riker’s Island, mentored adolescents in the foster care system, and worked with high school students and families in a variety of settings. Willow earned her MSW from Hunter College. In addition to high school placement support, Willow provides adolescents with private executive functioning tutoring and life design coaching.
